So June, then. Twelve activities and just shy of four hours of actual moving, which sounds respectable until you realise that's spread across a whole month of theoretically long, light evenings that I really should have been taking advantage of. The split shifted noticeably toward running this time — eight runs covering 22.7km against just four rides — with a handful of Morning Runs making up the bulk of it, which at a rather leisurely 7:53 per kilometre suggests I was easing into things rather than attacking them. The three achievements Strava kindly awarded me are probably doing a lot of heavy lifting in terms of making this look more impressive than it was. Still, the heart rate was up at 157 on the runs, so at least my body had the good sense to treat it as hard work even if the pace didn't.

So comparing back to May is an interesting exercise in how quickly things can unravel. May was actually more active overall — 14 activities, nearly the same total time, and 57km on the bike alone, which is three times what I managed in June (a sobering 18.9km, since you're asking). The curious thing is that June should have been easier: better weather, longer days, no excuse whatsoever for not getting out on an Evening Ride or two. Somehow the running crept up while the cycling fell off a cliff, and I'm not entirely sure that was a conscious decision so much as what just happened. Going forward I'd like to claim I have a structured plan, but honestly the aim is simply to keep the momentum from not completely disappearing again before July arrives.
