So November, then. Two runs, 66 minutes, and a shade over 10 kilometres — which is, by any reasonable measure, not a lot. The highlight was parkrun, which at least had the decency to get me out of bed on a Saturday morning and remind me that running is still a thing I do. The other outing was a morning run that I can only assume I went on before properly thinking it through, given the time of year and the general grimness of November mornings in England.

So compared to October, the drop-off is fairly stark — 14 activities and over four hours of training down to a grand total of two runs and just over an hour. October had actually been going quite well, with a decent mix of riding and running, 10 personal records, and enough momentum that I could almost convince myself I was someone who trained consistently. November, it seems, had other ideas — shorter days, colder mornings, and whatever else life was apparently throwing at me conspired to derail the whole thing fairly comprehensively. The honest truth is that 66 minutes of activity across an entire month is the kind of number that's hard to put a positive spin on, so I won't bother trying. The only real takeaway is that December needs to be better, which, given the weather and the mince pies, is statistically quite unlikely.
