So June turned out to be a reasonably solid month, all things considered. 42 activities and just over 34 hours of moving about the place, which sounds more impressive than it probably was. The running was the highlight — 11 runs covering 96.3 kilometres at an average of 5:19 per kilometre, which netted me 10 PRs and 21 achievements (Strava handing out badges being the closest I get to a medal these days). The mix was broader than usual too, with a stack of FiiT workouts and Mixed Cardio sessions making up over three and a half hours indoors, plus 22 walks totalling 119 kilometres, which is apparently what I do now instead of sitting at a desk pretending to be productive.

Compared to May, the volume was noticeably up — 2,063 minutes versus 1,759, and the walking in particular jumped from 103 to 119 kilometres, which I'll attribute to the longer evenings rather than any sudden burst of motivation. The running distance crept up too, from 92.2 to 96.3 kilometres, though the pace was virtually identical so I clearly haven't got any faster (consistent, if nothing else). The weight training fell off a cliff — three sessions in May down to one in June — which is the kind of thing I notice and then don't do very much about. So the question heading into July is whether the summer weather keeps the momentum going, or whether I find equally creative reasons to skip the gym.
