So November was, if I'm being honest, pretty light on the fitness front. Four activities in total across the whole month — a couple of runs and a couple of walks — adding up to just over two hours of actual movement. The runs were both indoor (so at least I had the excuse of avoiding the November darkness rather than just laziness), covering 10km across the two sessions at around 5:46 per km, which is a perfectly respectable pace for someone who clearly hadn't been overexerting themselves in the weeks prior. The walks chipped in another 68 minutes and 6km, which is the kind of contribution that feels virtuous right up until you look at the numbers properly.

Compared to October, the drop-off is fairly stark — that month I managed 16 activities and nearly 14 hours of moving, including over 60km of walking alone (which, in hindsight, I should probably be more impressed by). The running volume more than halved, and the walking fell off a cliff entirely, which I suspect is a combination of shorter days, colder mornings, and the creeping inertia that November in England tends to specialise in. So, not a month to be particularly proud of, and the kind of pattern that has a habit of drifting into December if I'm not careful. Something to address, then — ideally before the mince pies make it all significantly worse.
