So this blog, if not dead is certainly on its knees watching its own blood seeping into the ground… and I’ve been meaning to post stuff up, there is certainly plenty going on, but there is also plenty that I don’t feel I can write about for various reasons… and for this last reason I’ve [...]
(doesn’t everyone name their cars!?)
So today after 3 years and 57470 miles Gertie Golf goes back so:
57470 miles / 32mpg (avg) = 1796 gallons of go juice
1796 gallons = 8165 litres
8195 x 115p litre (expensive fuel, rather than the norm) = 9424.25 UKP
of which 6126 UKP went straight to the government in fuel tax

Not just here on this blog detailing the mundane and unimportant aspects of my life, just, well must try harder.
Simples.
First off, “it is what it is, deal with it” which is what I’m doing, having made this simple realisation a week or so ago everything is much better, no really, it is.
I’d forgotten all about this *cough*
Not quite true, loads I could write about just haven’t felt inclined to do so. I’m in the process of migrating sites to a different ISP, taking longer than planned of course. I’m startig to try and ramp up my running although currently averaging around 30km a [...]

So here we are sitting on [...]
So here we are almost at the 12 week scan point, Iona still doesn’t want a baby brother or sister, or a dog for that matter, but would like a “meow meow cat”…. Thursday morning we head off to High Wycombe to meet our baby for the first time with the 12 week scan. [...]
…since we decamped from London to Bourne End (twined with the “Arse end of beyond”) and in that time of course I’ve had to commute, daily, just under 2 hours on average in the car:
so:
2 x 5 = 10 hours / week
10 x 48 = 480 hours / year (taking into account the holiday I [...]
in fact why are you still here? go and watch it
The best name ever, slightly biased of course, but seriously, apart from me, there is the channel “Dave” which just shows repeats of Top Gear – Fantastic and there is also a laptop table from Ikea called “Dave” must be a sign, all Dave’s needs can be covered by things called “Dave” (just need to [...]
